Grooming Salon

General Information

Demating:
We spray the coat with a detangling lotion, ensuring that we wet the tangled area. Give the lotion 10 to 15 minutes to soak in, then using a matting comb and brush brushing up on the bottom of the leg working in small areas at a time, taking the coat in layers. Brush the coat up and down to loosen the mating. We carry finishing rinses that will aid in removing tangles, making the job of Demating much faster and less painful. Combing the mate out be fore bathing will make it much easer and not so painful for your dog. If the mating gets to severer the dog should be shaven with the permission of the owner. Dogs that get matted on a regular basis should be groomed on a 3 to 4 week schedule or sooner.

Bathing:
A good bath is all Important for your good grooming In order to get the dog clean we lather the coat with shampoo. Some shampoos are medicated shampoos that control tick, and fleas. Shampoos available today do not strip oil from a dogs, coat but rather they add oils to your dogs coat. A bath makes your dog feel good look good and smell good. We can also condition the dogs coat

Cleaning the eyes:
We remove ear dirt and wax by swabbing the ears with a cotton ball. Then dry out each ear with a dry cotton ball and dust with medicated ear powder. The ear powder helps prevent ear Infections.

Cleaning the Eyes:
We also do eye cleaning it should not be overlooked as a part of grooming. Eye cleaning varies according to the breed of dog. A dog with protuberant eyes, such as the bulldog, needs to have its eyes cleaned regularly. your vet will help if the eyes are red or tender.

Nail Clipping
Dogs that regularly exercise or play outdoors will generally need less frequent nail clipping than those kept in the house. When we clip your dogs nails(claw) we are very careful not to cut the blood vessel.
